When do entries open and close?

Online registration for the 2026 fun run is planned to be open by Friday 31st July. Check back to register for early bird savings!

What are the entry fees?

10km - $30

5km - $30

3km - $25

What are the minimum ages?

10km – 13 years (or turning 13 by December 31st 2026)

No minimum age for the 3km and 5km events.

Where and when do I pick up my bib?

Bib collection is at Alstonville Plaza on either:

Friday 11th September 2025 from 3.30pm – 6.00pm
Saturday 12th September 2025 from 8.00am – 10.30am

What time do the events start?

10km run – 7.00am

5km run/walk – 8.00am

Please note that the run and walk start at the same time. We ask that anyone walking please start at the back of the group.

3km – 8.30am

How can I buy a fun run t-shirt?

T-shirts are available for purchase when you enter online. You can purchase a shirt even if you are not entering an event (select “Merchandise only” on the registration page). We will also have a limited range available for purchase at the event but there is no guarantee your size will be available.

How can I buy a fun run t-shirt?

There is a size guide available when you purchase online. Please note measurements are in centimetres. T-shirts cost $35.

T-shirts can only be collected at bib collection at Alstonville Plaza on Friday 11th September (3.30pm - 6.00pm) and Saturday 12th September (8.00am -10.30am).

Will there be a free shuttle bus again this year?

Yes, our wonderful sponsors Ballina Buslines are operating free shuttle buses from Alstonville and Wollongbar. Refer to our Getting Here tab for full details.

Can I walk/run with a pet?

Due to risk management and hygiene on the school grounds, as well as the width of the course, this is a pet free event. Only registered assistance animals will be able to attend with their owners.

Can I walk/run with a pram?

Yes, in the 5km and 3km events. Please start at the back of the group.

Are there maps of the course?

Yes. Please see the Courses tab for details.

Are there toilets and water stations on the course?

There are toilets at Alstonville High School where each event starts and finishes. Please note that the 10km run is two laps of the 5km loop so runners will come back through the high school grounds during the run.

Please see Course for water station points on the course. We will also have water at the finish line.

Is there medical help on the course?

There will be volunteers stationed along the course to assist if needed. We will have a professional first aid officer at the high school and a first aid kit at the water station.

Will there be food, coffee and entertainment after the 10km, 5km and 3km events?

Yes, yes and yes! We will have plenty of delicious food, cold drinks, tea and coffee available to purchase at the high school. There will be music, kids’ entertainment and market stalls for your enjoyment.

How do I enter the Kids Dash and Community Relay?

Kids can just turn up and join in the race. Registration for the community relay is on the day (details coming soon). While there is no entry fee for these two events, please consider a gold coin donation. We will have a donation bucket at the entry to the high school.

By entering this event site you agree to being filmed or photographed which may be used for marketing or promotional purposes. Please be aware that by entering the event area, you consent to your voice, name, and/or likeness being used, without compensation, in any and all media, whether now known or hereafter devised, for eternity, and you release Alstonville Wollongbar Fun Run, Alstonville High School P&C Association, Alstonville Public School P&C Association, and Wollongbar Public School P&C Association, their successors, assigns and licensees from any liability whatsoever of any nature. Do not enter the event area if you do not wish to be subject to the foregoing.
